Grad Dress

Okay, so Mia posting her ball picture makes me want to post a picture of my grad dress.

I knooowww that lots of people are going to go for the whole princess gown, super fancy, crazy shock thing with their dresses, and pay upwards of $200 - $400 dollars for their dresses... haha, but I definitely went simple.

I bought it at Laura Petite, for just $165, and I absolutely adore it.



I'm going to get some little black flats to wear it with, and I have some miniature coconut beads from a giant necklace that I bought when I was in Spain that I made bracelets out of. Otherwise, because of the halter-type top of it, I'm not going to wear a necklace. The mesh that comes out underneath goes down to my knees, and the polka-dot material is about mid-thigh length, maybe a little bit longer, and it's longer in the back.

I love it, love it, love it, and love it some more!!

I'm sure you'll see plenty more pictures when grad gets closer, haha!

Gosh I'm so excited.

I went to school for five years with my best friend, Steph.
And then for High School we split up and went to different schools.
It's been crazy hard, but I decided that I don't want to graduate
without her, so I'm bringing her as my date!!

Not to mention it's THE END OF SCHOOL. FOREVER. YAY.
Well, minus college. But then I'll be doing something I love,
so it won't be an issue. Haha.

Aww, it's so hard being away from your best friends.

Mine is leaving me for a year, to work in Florida, USA (I live on the west-ish coast of Canada... and she's going to be in the south-east corner of the states). I'm terribly upset about it... but somehow I have to try and manage to be excited for her, because this is what she wants, you know?

Ugh. It's impossibly hard, though.

I know it seems so hard to think about, but just cling to the fact that it's only a year, and you both have technology to keep in touch. Think about all the fun she'll have, and all the fun you'll have together when she gets back

I don't even want to think about what it will be like when my best friend and I split up and go to different universities... I can't imagine how hard that would be. But thats awesome that you're bringing her as your date, Lysa!! And your dress is awesome. Polkadot power!!!

It's not that hard when you're in the same city. Just as long as you're dedicated.

My best friend lives about a 25 minute drive from my house, but I make a point to take the bus 35-40 minutes to her place about once a week or at least once every other week, and we always have so much fun. Plus we talk on msn a lot, and now that I have a cellphone, I text her pretty messages all the time.

It's been three years since I've gone to school with her, and I feel closer with her now, than I ever did.

*loves best friends* I love the dress! It's so simple yet sophisticated, plus it's like saying you don't need something drastically showy to tell everyone how beautiful you are! I think the outfit will look lovely. Have a great time dancing

It's exactly one week from today!!

Actually. In exactly a week... I'll probably be dancing my little toosh off. Or heading out to a giant bonfire outside the city. =) Yay!!
